BSA Welcomes Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement
WASHINGTON — October 4, 2015 — "The Trans Pacific Partnership agreement announced today marks a significant milestone in international trade,” said Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance. "Data driven innovation and services present a huge opportunity for the global economy and the software industry. For the first time, enforceable trade rules establish free flow of data across borders as the rule and address trade barriers such as requiring localization of servers. We look forward to studying carefully the text of the Agreement and we look forward to working with the Administration and Congress on this important agreement."
