APAC: BSA Roundtable on Privacy Trends in the Asia-Pacific and Beyond

BSA hosts a roundtable on privacy trends in the Asia-Pacific region, their convergence and divergence, and the broadening of other issues – such as AI and content regulation – into privacy.
Following opening remarks from Yeong Zee Kin, Assistant Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore and Deputy Commissioner of the Personal Data Protection Commission, and Clarisse Girot, Head of the Data Governance and Privacy Unit at the OECD, BSA’s Jared Ragland will moderate a discussion among key stakeholders. Participants will exchange views on the APEC Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) System and how to make full use of it, what data transfer mechanisms are commonly used in the region, and notable global privacy trends.
This meeting will be held at Salesforce’s APAC Regional Headquarters in Singapore.
