BSA Applauds Introduction of HACKED Act

WASHINGTON – November 7, 2019 – BSA | The Software Alliance supports the introduction of the Harvesting American Cybersecurity Knowledge Through Education (HACKED) Act by Senators Roger Wicker, Maria Cantwell, John Thune, and Jacky Rosen. The legislation is a welcome addition to ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity workforce capabilities in the public and private sectors.

“Today’s world is more interconnected than ever,” said Leticia Lewis, Director, Policy at BSA | The Software Alliance. “The HACKED Act would help our nation continue to address the cybersecurity risks that arise from this interconnectivity by equipping our workforce with the extremely important cybersecurity skills needed to achieve this goal. We look forward to collaborating with the bill’s sponsors and others in Congress on this crucial issue.”
